" Mookja ! " ,
means "Let's eat" in Korean language. In Korea there is city called Gyeongsang-do, in there they use dialect and "Mookja" is one of the phrase in dialect. It is very friendly and kind word to anyone. In addition to Gyeongsang-do is also popular as "Bing Hand" for the food. Their portion size is usually really big and flavour wise, it makes you miss mom's home cook.
My name is Nathan, I was born and grown up in Gyeongsang-do in South Korea. I used to hear "Mookja" a lot when I was young everytime when the meal is ready. Even though there is no expensive meat and seafood, I was always full and felt mom's love. I can say that makes me thinking of food as love which every single people deserve. After I grown up to this age, that still stays inside of my heart, so now making people full and happy is my ideal goal of cooking. Good ingredients and equipments are very important to make a good flavour., but I think before start thinking of those, what sort of mind you set as a chef is the most important part. I am and I will think cooking as more than just cooking. I want people to have good feeling whenever they have a small or big event and if my food can support their happiness I would be really happy.
